About Dr. Evodius Rutta

Over the past 15 years, I have been fortunate to work with governments, researchers, and international organizations to develop innovative solutions that end poverty worldwide. My expertise covers research in sustainable management of natural resources, programs management, non-profit fundraising, policy analysis, and advocacy to drive institutional reforms within the public and private sectors. My greatest passion is doing research that delivers tangible solutions to people and telling their stories to inspire positive change.

My work in environmental sustainability has earned me global recognition. I am a proud recipient of numerous awards, including the Royal Academy of Engineering Africa Prize Fellow (2024), Eisenhower Fellow (2022), and National Geographic Explorer (2017). I also founded MAVUNOLAB, a Postharvest Innovation Centre based in Tanzania, where I lead a team of young engineers. Together, we develop affordable technologies to combat food loss and waste among small-scale farmers and fisheries in Tanzania.

In my spare time, I enjoy farming, reading, and mentoring young people in personal development, career choices, and financial management. If you need help with your research, managing your programs, or strengthening your non-profit organization in fundraising and grant writing, I would be pleased to work with you and your team to offer these solutions.
